Did You Know?
When a REALTOR® posts information about a listing on Social Media platforms it kicks in NAR's "Clear Cooperation Policy" Posting information on social media about a property is considered advertising.
As such, NAR requires that all member licensees who publicly advertise their listings on social media enter those listings into their respective MLS database within 1 business day of the public advertising.
CBOR requires all listings be entered within 1 business day of a listing's effective date, regardless if a listing is publicly advertised, but it is important to understand how NAR's Clear Cooperation policy enhances a cooperative marketplace for the real estate industry as a whole.
We will address the Clear Cooperation Policy in more detail in another Broker Tools Volume.
